The Company
A highly respected, midlands based Manufacturing company, with multiple sites established across the UK and worldwide who supply critical components into the highly lucrative Petrochemical and Oil & Gas industries. The companies flagship Midlands site has seen exponential growth over the last 18 months on the back of developing a fantastic working culture and reputation for a people first approach. The company are now seeking a Management Accountant / Head of Finance as they look to catapult this £100million turnover group towards new heights and execute their ambitious growth objectives.
The role
Reporting into the site MD with support of their European counterparts, a Management Accountant with fantastic communication and people skills is now required to join this versatile organisation.You will take responsibility for:
- Financial reporting of monthly management accounts, weekly, monthly and annual forecasting and budgeting.
- Working collaboratively with a variety of internal functions including operations, purchasing and senior leadership team to drive profitability and performance. Also collaborating with UK FC & European leadership teams where necessary
- Taking responsibility for a team of 3 accounting / admin staff aligning the team with customer and insurance policies
- Annual audit requests, VAT returns, driving trade working capital & general improvement of financial processes
- Help develop the local site towards it's goal of increasing turnover by 50% in the next 12-24 months
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Previous experience within a manufacturing setting is Essential
- Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities to allow you to work collaboratively with local and regional stakeholders & leadership teams would be ideal
- ACCA/CIMA qualified with ideally 2 years Post Qual experience
- Multisite/regional responsibility would be a nice to have but not essential
- Flexibility and adaptable to new ways of working as the company is on a journey towards ambitious growth plans
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Experience of Opera accounting systems would be useful but not essential
- Implementation and management of ERP/MRP systems would be advantageous
- Costing experience, specifically within the manufacturing industry would be helpful
