Senior Electronics Design Engineer

The company

A well-established privately owned, electronic manufacturing business based in west Coventry who have built up a fantastic reputation amongst their varied customer base. The company specialise in providing cutting edge industrial microprocessor control systems and subcontract PCB assembly to a wide range of industries which include Medical and Automotive. Due to continued growth and expansion and an increase in work with key customers, the company are now looking for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to support the technical activities in their microelectronics and trading divisions.

The role

Reporting to the Management Team and Technical Director, a Senior Electronics Design Engineer is now required join the team on a permanent basis.

You will take responsibility for:

• Leading, managing, controlling, and improving the ongoing performance of the development facility and its staff, subcontractors, and suppliers whilst implementing a continuous improvement philosophy/culture
• The ability to meet customers across all levels and providing technical support to a global team of engineer's based in Asia
• Pro-actively implementing innovative design and process
• Taking full responsibility for all projects and quality aspects whilst consistently reporting and continuously improving IT facilities, quality systems, processes, and procedures.

What you need

It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

• Proven experience and a successful track record in the Electronics/Electrical Industry.
• Be degree educated in Electronics and Electrical or a similar disciple
• Experience in hardware (analogue and digital) and software (assembler and C programming) design.
• Can work well under pressure and capable of meeting targets with quality, output and input timescales.

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

• Experience of implementing continuous improvement
• Ability to demonstrate prior experience in coordinating manufacturing operations from cradle to grave
• FMEA's, ISO9001 or QS9000 and product costing will be desirable
