Application Engineer / Sales Engineer
The company
One of the UK's largest and fastest growing, privately owned machine tool manufacturers who have a fantastic reputation for quality, service and aftermarket support across their wide-ranging customer portfolio. On the back of this continued success and growth, the company are seeking to grow their market share further by adding an experienced Sales Engineer / Applications Engineer to their team to drive 5 Axis machine tool sales.
The role
A Sales Engineer / Applications Engineer is now required to join the team to help support initial enquiries into 5 axis machine tools.
You will take responsibility for:
- Supporting sales and design teams with initial sales enquiries
- Driving engagement with external stakeholders such as prospective customers who have enquired about a specific project
- Using CAD to advise on necessary design changes based on the customer's specification and end application
- Utilising your expertise on 5 axis machines to instil confidence with the customer on their bespoke project
- Programming 5 axis machines where necessary to demonstrate the machine tool to the customer
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Previous experience as an Applications Engineer / Sales Engineer within the Machine Tool industry
- A key understanding of 5 axis machining
- Ideally experienced on CAD in order to assist with design changes
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Experience of CNC programming with Fanuc/Heidenhain controls would be highly advantageous
What is on offer
On offer is the opportunity to join one of the market leading Machine Tool companies who will offer unrivalled demand for their product. The customer have over 5000 machines actively running in the UK across a wide ranging customer base meaning you will have no shortage of enquiries for machines. On the back of this demand, you can expect to earn £45,000-£55,000 annually along with a bonus of £5,000-£10,000 which is paid quarterly. OTE for this role would be £55,000-£60,000 depending on your experience and background, whilst the company also offer a company vehicle and private healthcare.
