The company
A leading supplier of Body in White (BIW) components and assemblies within the automotive industry, supplying into some of the world's largest automotive blue-chip companies, are now looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team based on an afternoon shift, you will be responsible for 2 facilities within 1 mile of each other
The role
Reporting to and working under the Manufacturing & Quality Manager, a physically fit welder/fabricator, who will take responsibility for the upkeep, building and assembling of specialist machinery.
You will take responsibility for:- Operating a range of tools and machinery
- Ensuring existing control methods are sustainable and effective whilst working within strict health and safety guidelines
- Working under the department supervisor's supervision and instructions
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:- Previous experience working in a manufacturing/engineering/production environment is essential
- Must have TIG welding, especially with sheet metal, as well as fitting, braising, and assembly.
- A team player with good communication skills and comfortable working to deadlines and projects and willing to help out whenever labour is needed.
- Quality and Safety awareness
