The company A well-established Automotive Manufacturing business based in the heart of the Coventry Manufacturing Industry, who have undergone significant investment in the last 18 months, investing heavily in a new premises and state of the art equipment. This company has seen exponential growth in the last 18 months and are now aiming at further expansion within their customer base. This Automotive business specialises in the manufacture of specialist components for a wealth of prestigious OEM brands and are now seeking a Health & Safety manager to join them at an exciting time in their journey.
The role Reporting into the Production Director, responsible for improving and maintaining a high standard of Health & Safety and maintaining all compliance across their multiple sites.
You will take responsibility for:
Implement and maintain a culture of excellent safety and behavioural awareness.
Ensure that all departments' activities are hitting all relevant H&S standards and industry standards where relevant.
Interact with higher leadership and management teams to help co-ordinate and deliver a consistent approach towards H&S across all business units.
Apply PDCA to make sure all tasks are completed to relevant standards and in a timely manner
Liaise and distribute all promotional H&S content and information.
Make sure that all business units are compliant with EHS legislation and standards, as well as all customer EHS regulations up to ISO 14001
Ensure that all workplace practices are safe and adhere to all relevant standards.
Liaise with Risk assessment and hazard analysis to plan, implement and then review all preventative and proactive measures that are in place.
Investigate any issues, accidents, or close calls, ensuring that changes are implemented for future work practices.
Improve upon the overall employee health and safety training company wide.
Be responsible for site audits and inspections across the company's multiple sites.
What you need It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
The candidate MUST have experience of working within a Manufacturing setting with Automotive sector experience within manufacturing being a distinct advantage.
Previous track record of success in managing company wide Health and Safety processes
Hold an active IOSH membership and NEOSH certificate.
Hold a Full UK driving license.
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
Previous experience of the Automotive BIW/Sheet Metal industry
Show a hands-on and preventative approach to H&S
Able to communicate effectively and have great interpersonal skills.
Experience undertaking audits and site inspections.

There is also the opportunity for key progression and a great work life balance, working 7am - 3:30pm Mon- Thurs and 7am - 12:00pm Fri. On offer is a salary of between £40- £45k depending on experience and other factors.
