Service Engineer (UK Wide)

The company

A global Specialist Machine Tool Manufacturing Business based in Coventry, working closely with some of the world's leading Global Brands. After seeing a large increase in production due to requirements with key customers, the company are seeking to expand their team and are looking for A Service Engineer to join them on a permanent basis to provide coverage UK wide.

The role

A Service Engineer is now required join the team on a permanent basis to provide coverage across the UK.

You will take responsibility for:

• Responding to routine service and breakdown requests with a wide range of blue-chip customers, on a variety of machinery, robotics, ABB, FANUC, Multi Axis CNC Machines.
• Providing coverage to customers UK Wide or within a certain demographic to install machines and respond to customer issues/breakdowns, including overnight stays.
• Responsible for installations and post installation support
• Ensuring you remain on-site with customer throughout until full completion of the service.
• Developing an understanding and product knowledge of the wider range of machines tools across the group.

What you need

It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

• Previous experience of working in a service or maintenance role and a strong desire to work in the field.
• Experience working on Machine Tools/CNC machines (servicing or maintaining)
• Electro-Mechanical Maintenance in an industrial/Manufacturing/Metal working environment.
  

If you are a Fitter / Maintenance Engineer with experience of machine tools and looking to move into a service role, then we highly encourage your application.

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

• Previous experience of working with FANUC, Lathes, machining centres
• Experience of fault-finding and interrogating PLCs would be an advantage but not essential.

On offer is the chance to join one of the Largest Machine Tool Manufacturers Globally Who offer training, worldwide travel and a great package of up to £50,000+ (On target earnings of £55,000-£75,000), Private healthcare, and a company vehicle, hotel and travel expenses, with plenty of overtime available. Because the base rate of £42,000-£50,000 is based on a 40-hour week, all Engineers are paid door to door meaning based on a standard 50-hour week engineers are earning £50,000-£60,000 + Developmental Bonus. The company have a great reputation of valuing and retaining their staff.
